ZoyaPH offers Zoya Delight Collection + More!

I'm back with some eye-candies for you!!

I recently got hold of this Zoya Delight Collection, and I was ecstatic!  I was so excited to show it to my daughter and do nail art with her.  Well, as a mom, I feel safer to use 5-Free polish with my not-so-baby daughter, and Zoya offers this.  Zoya is actually a brand that's known to be vegan-friendly, free of Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor (Whew! That was a mouthful!).  This is safe for women with sensitive skin and allergies.  Oh, and also for pregnant women!  

Now, most "vegan-friendly" polishes are safe but doesn't last more than a couple of days.  I have tried Zoya and its extended wear formula makes it last up to a week on my nails.  (Of course, a week on my nails is just accidental, busy-busy week.) But really, it does hold up to its claim.

I just recently found out that Eiskin Laboratories, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Zoya Professional Nail Lacquers in the Philippines.  It is great that salon owners and nail artists alike, can access the latest offers from them.  They have their Zoya Philippines Facebook Page and ZoyaPH Instagram Account if you want to follow them to find out what's hot and new in the nail community.

Enough chatting and let me show you my swatches.

Zoya Leslie is a soft lavender with some soft metallic turquoise shimmer in it. I love that Leslie makes my nails look cleaner and whiter than the other colors from this collection. I stamped Born Pretty BP-20 image on it, using Models Own Chrome Mauve. 

Zoya Rayne is a dewy blue with soft metallic turquoise shimmer in it.  This color reminds me of the hot-right-now Cinderella dress.  I stamped Born Pretty BP-08 image on it, using Models Own Chrome Pink. 

Zoya Daisy is a lemon yellow with soft metallic turquoise shimmer in it.  I don't usually go for this kind of yellows, but Daisy is a keeper!  I stamped Born Pretty BP-02 image on it with a black stamping polish.

Zoya Tiana is a spring green creme that reminds me of, well, Tiana! :)  I stamped Pueen SE04A on the accent, colored in with Eden, Daisy, Leslie and Lillian.

Zoya Lillian is a spring blue creme.  I find that it's perfect as a base for any spring mani.  I used the rest of the Delight Collection colors for the flowers to see if the colors would go well together, and it did!

 

Zoya Eden is a darker spring pink creme and is the easiest to use among all these colors.  I splattered the rest of the colors into my accent nails and loved how it turned out.

These swatches were done in two coats for the cremes and Leslie, three coats for Rayne and Daisy.  All of them were topped with Seche Vite.

If you knew me well, you'd know for sure that I like the cremes better.  So my favorite color in this collection is---TIANA! Did you guess right?  How about you? What did you like best?

My Top Ten Favorite Nail Polish

Hi, Ladies!

You would think I would have more time this July, eh?  It took me a whole month to think things through.  Somebody asked me what my favorite nail polish was, and I could not, for the life of me, give an answer.  So I thought about it well and hard, and decided to give you ladies a list of my top ten.  And this was excruciatingly difficult. (Plus the fact that I also decided to use the polishes in a challenge.)

So, here goes (in no particular order):

 Zoya Tomoko:  My travel go-to polish as it does not need a base nor a top coat.  A textured, elegant gold I can wear casually or during formal occasions.  I can never go wrong with this.

OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian:  This is a bright pastel pink that kind of comes off a little neon, if I may say so.  It looks good both on short and long nail beds.

 

 OPI An Affair in Red Square:  This is my go-to red polish since 2005.  This is actually my 4th bottle since.  If I cannot decide on what color to wear,  I just pick this one up.  I used to have really short nails before, and this one looks spunky on it, but also elegant on longer nails. I love this so much!

 

Picture Polish Honey Dew:  This is a bright mint color that looks so clean and fresh.  I love that it's a light color but is not at all streaky.  This also got me my record-holding MOST likes on Instagram.  I guess everybody likes it, too.

Zoya Kitridge: This is my most-loved baby pink polish.  It is so girly and pretty at the same time.  I love that it's so easy to apply, and is opaque in two coats.

 

 

 Polish Me Silly Alter Ego:  This is a multichrome that shifts from purple to blue to pink, and at some angles, a little gold.  This is gorgeous beyond words.

 Zoya Pippa: I honestly never thought I would have a favorite yellow, because yellow wasn't my type when I was younger.  But this one, is just bright and easy to apply, that I cannot help but love it.  Most yellow polishes are streaky, but this one isn't at all. It doesn't make my skin look pale or awkward, so I heart it!

KBShimmer She Twerks Out: This is a blue-green magical polish.  The glitters in it are varying in sizes and and color (different shades of greens and blues), but everything reminding me of an enchanted forest.  This is my favorite KBShimmer!

NCLA I'm With The Band:  This is a super bright red-orange with gold undertones.  I love it because it is elegantly playful.  My camera couldn't capture the gold undertones really well, but it is very visible IRL.

Zoya Dream:  This is a jelly blue polish with specks of holographic glitters.  2-3 coats will make it opaque.  It reminds me of the sky when the stars are out.

Backlogs

Hi, Ladies! 

I haven't been blogging for a long time and I have only excuses to make.   I'm sorry.

I sure have a lot of plans on what to blog about, but right now my hands are full (for the month of May), with a lot of birthdays here and there (including my husband's), so I will apologize for the rest of the days coming.

Here are some of the nail art designs I created and recreated while I was gone:

 This one I did in a rush.  I work at a nail spa and I had to do an easter egg mani, so this is what I came up with.  I totally forgot what colors I used, but the dots and lines were acrylic paint, so...

 And this one is a solo shot of my bestie twin nails with @hotmomsnailarts.  I used Zoya Pippa for the yellow, and then some Lofes: Korean brand polish for the other 3 colors, plus acrylic paint.  This was inspired by @NonaPhilippa on IG.

 This is another solo shot of another bestie twin nails I did with My Labs, Ada, AKA @galaxystar7 this time. :) This mani was inspired by @mllrdesign.  I used Essie Sugar Daddy for the base, and then China Glaze Bottoms Up, Orly Melt Your Popsicle and Glowsticks for the feathers.  This is our first pond manicure. :)

 This mani I recreated from @stormandstars.  I used Orly Liquid Vinyl and then acrylic paint for the rest.

 This mani was inspired by my favorite @jauntyjuli.  I used Essie Boom Boom Room for the pink, Lofes for the white, and acrylic paint for the rest.

 Lastly, a solo shot of my bestie triplet nails with Ada @galaxystar7 and Bea @beabarretto. This mani was inspired by @youngwildandpolished.  I used Color Club Ruby Slippers, Lofes White, Orly Black Vinyl, Sephora By OPI Pushing Your Luck. 

How boring.  I hope I will be able to blog about something informative soon. Tsk.

BK Holo Swatch, Seophora OPI Blasted, and Two Other Designs

Hi there, ladies!

Instagram has timed out in my end of the world so I'm updating here.  

When I went to the Filipinails EB last early Feb., I bought some BK Holo polish to give to my friends because it was on sale.  Not everyone was able to come to the EB so I was left with two extra bottles.  I saw @ejnails use hers a few days back, I got curious and swatched it myself.

What can I say? Not bad for such cheap polish!  I can't believe I got them for the price I did.  I don't think you can get them for that anywhere else!  If you're interested, head on to Beauty Kingdom.  Check if they have stocks left because it's a great deal!!!

And on to the next one.

 I used Lofes 114 for the white base and OPI Fiercely Fiona for the yellow (ring finger) base.  Now when the Shattered / Blasted craze was still on, I got a few bottles of them, and my lovely friends and sister gave me a whole bunch more.  But until now, I can't put them to good use because the texture it gives grosses me out.  So I went on to try again if my reaction's changed over the years.  On pinkie and index, Sephora by OPI Electric Blue Blasted.  On ring, Sephora by OPI Opalescent, and this was a total fail.  On middle, Sephora by OPI Blasted Turquoise Glitter.  Give me a few more months and maybe I will be able to muster the "courage" to try this again.

After that, I tried to recreate adelislebron 's design.

So in love with her design.  I used Zoya Pippa for the yellow base, and Lofes 114 for the white, Acrylic Paint for the black & gray colors, then Seche Vite top coat.

Now this, I was going for a good gradient, but I still couldn't perfect it, that's why I placed on an "Elegant Swirl" design, which, of course, was another big fail.  I mean, check it out:

 Elegant = sophisticated, but my drawing hand was too heavy and I couldn't make my swirls thin. :( Oh well.  Anyway, I used Sally Hansen Man-go Team! and Deborah Lippmann Between the Sheets for the gradient.  Acrylic paint for the black, and Seche Vite top coat.

Maybe tomorrow I will do some swatching for my untrieds. :)  Ahhh, that is the goal.

Having a Break

Hi, Ladies!

I don't have any April Fool's joke on here.  I am so stressed out from work, I'm actually still doing my worksheet and just having a break.

I found a design I liked from @anggieanggey and decided to imitate it.

I know, I ruined the pastels with my lousy drawing.  :( 

I used Essie Van D'Go, Under Where?, Mint Candy Apple and Zoya Pippa. Skinfood BW704 for he white.  Acrylic paint for the black.  Seche Vite Top Coat. If you don't have any access to these brands, you can check out Polish Please PH
